  IN-SYNC CONSULTING OF VIRGINIA
Consultant, Programmer, Sales, Lan Manager, Repair Tech August 1995 to 2001
Responsible for writing 4 custom Visual Foxpro apps for clients:
The Bermuda Distributing Inventory Tracking Application recorded the movement of product through a warehouse. Tracked the temporary and long-term storage of various plastics made by Alcoa. Items were sorted and priced based on size, part#, weight, bin, pallet size, etc. The Client was able to fully edit the pricing table to suit their needs.
The Contributor Tracking Application for a Virginia State Senator. Various reports exposed the 150+ groupings of contributor types. For each group, the Senator would send different form letters, announcements and thank-yous, Word documents stored as OLE objects. The Reports listed contributions to date, per group, per date-range
Created a WorkOrder Call Tracking Application for a bank security corporation involved in physical bank security. Using VFP 5.0, the app used the grid control: color-coding outstanding orders based on a required response time. When items were within 30 minutes of expiring, they turned color, then again when the items expired unresolved. The reports tracked the time-to-job, time-on-job, repeated calls for the same problem/location within a time period, as well as standard usage tracking details and summaries. Accurate labor reporting now possible.
Maintained a Sales Quote and Order Entry system for an Engraving shop. This inherited code was originally in VFP 3.0, converted to 6.0 and the ability to choose more than one line item per order added.

Responsible for a Sales Order Entry application design, modifications, training and tech support
Utilized Foxpro 2.5/DOS for software specific to the foodservice distributor industry. The application ran on Windows 3.1, sending orders by modem to a custom-built receiving module.
This telecom module was originally in Microsoft C, but was converted to Foxpro with a communications library to enhance performance. The completed orders were sent to an AS/400 via PC Support software. The design goal was to achieve on-line order confirmation within 3 minutes. This goal was achieved by increasing the speed of the AS/400.
Rewrote the app to accommodate each distributor’s pricing structure by having editable pricing rules.
Managed multiple projects simultaneously and all original Clipper code was converted to Foxpro to enhance performance
